In short: Great 10 miler with tarmac, grass and gravel paths
In full: Yes I cou;d have run faster had the course been all on tarmac. That said it was a true challenge to be running for reasonably long spells on grass. I felt the race was very well organized and the two lap course maintained my focus. more interesting than your average run and Ware Joggers need applauding for putting on a great event

In short: Trail running heaven
In full: Billed as a trail race, it certainly was. I saw so many runners in road shoes which really only spoils the experience and in my opinion invites injury. We were duly informed of the terrain. The course was interesting with a good mix of undulations. The weather certainly turned up the difficulty factor, lots of mud and puddles. For me it was a better experience than a road 10k. I really enjoyed it. Top marks to the organisers for providing us with a great new trail course. Why not extend it to two laps+ next year and lets have a trail half marathon.
Only downside for me was listening to the usual moaning from certain runners who expect the red carpet treatment wherever they go. So what if we had to walk 10 mins to get the chip! If you don't like getting wet, muddy and challenged by the great British weather then may I suggest a trip down to your local library and take out a book on knitting!!

In short: A version of S&M in trail shoes
In full: Very, very tough course, but if you've trained correctly, there is nothing out of the ordinary......apart from steps, steps, steps and... more steps....they were really hard.....but still fun 'cos the race is is packed with cats and crazy dudes...! Do this, to prove to yourself that Life really is Good.

In full: A good little rural marathon. There is a real feel-good factor here. I agree with some other reviews in that the "hills" are not massive, but they do help to challenge, particularly in the later stages of the race. I was hoping to break my PB of 3:35 which I did a few weeks earlier on a much, much flatter course in Rotterdam. However, suffering from chronic cramps to both hamstrings and calves from mile 18 onwards I suppose i have to be pleased/relieved that I finished this race in 3:52. Yes I did drink lots, but I found the mixture of heat, hills and cramps quite difficult yesterday. That said, I'll be back next year to make amends. I thoroughly recommend this race. Marshals were a cut above and organisation was excellent.

I'd like to add that my wife who is doing the Playtex Moonwalk Marathon on Sat donned her race T-shirt, cap etc and went around asking people for donations to Breast cancer. She was overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone, making almost £100. She would like to thank everyone for their support.

In short: A race that "adds life to your years"
In full: My first B15 yesterday. Course is tough and extremely challenging when mixed with that kind of foul weather in the days leading up to race. Boy did I enjoy myself though. Thanks to all who organised and marshalled the event. You did a super job…..and what a fantastic technical t-shirt….all for £11...Best value ever.
I’ll be back next year to improve my time of 2:04:13……a full ten mins slower than my 15 mile road time!
Thanks again for a great event

In short: course, marshals, orginisation...and weather were perfect
In full: A fabulous 10k race. Great orginisation and marshals. Quite a fast course and extremely varied. I will definately do this again in 2009. To boot the weather was ideal.

In short: Undulating, tough but exciting to race
In full: Quite a tough course as there are some toughish inclines. Weather was appalling in '08 so made it very difficult running with a relentless wind, driving rain and a waterlogged course in places. Still it's a good pre London Marathon challenge.
