In short: A must do race for everyone In full: I found the organisation great for this event and eveyone was helpful and friendly especially the marshalls and even spectators walking the Downs. Plenty of space in the school for baggage or even just to stay warm. Extra WCs if you looked for them all over the place - did not have to queue once! Date of review: October 29, 2012

In short: Absolute bargain In full: Really enjoyed this - good organisation, amazing value, pretty countryside, plenty of toilets for the ladies. The route was easy to follow apart from a couple of places - cannot remember where though. Plenty of marshalls, even in quite obscure places - well done and thank you to them. No water at checkpoint 1 for the runners. Would love this to be timed and a technical t-shirt which I could wear. Back next year - yes indeed. Date of review: October 24, 2009

In short: Well organised and friendly In full: I enjoyed this race a lot. The evening start time was different but convenient for me and the route whilst not spectacular was perfectly pleasant. The race headquarters were sited at a Leisure Centre which made for good parking and facilities. It was a very warm evening and I dithered about carrying my own water. No need to worry though as the well placed water stations had plenty. The goody bag at the end made this race very good value especially as we had chip timing too. Nice friendly runners (possibly helped by the MP3 ban) and marshalls added to the general ambience. I will happily return next year. Thank you to all involved. Date of review: July 26, 2009

In short: No more medals please In full: I live locally and so was glad I did not have a baggage or loo issue to sort out. The first water station is far to late . It needs to be at the top of Little Heath Lane. Also had to wait quite a long time at the first station. I do not want a medal thank you - the big hills have potentinal for a really good t-shirt caption! Also this is now a big event. Why is there no chip timing? I think this race organisation needs reinventing for next year. I run these hills every week and will not be tempted back otherwise. Date of review: March 4, 2008
