In short: A lovely sunny Sunday run.
In full: To all those griping about drinking from cups then why not do what I do; walk through the water stations. I mean not all of you are going to win the prizes and you will lose only about a minute and half in time in total. Plus in the many races I have done runners tend to waste thier bottled water. It's a wonderfull course and that hill between 10 and 11 miles is just cracking. Nice T shirt as well.

In short: Challenging course in scenic Leicestershire.
In full: Second year I have done this course and will do it next year. Cheap running stalls at the HQ worth an extra point. Thanks to Milenko (on his first 10 mile race) who pushed be the last few miles, cos that last long hill had wasted me.

In short: A friendly well organised race.
In full: Loved it even though I had to limp and hobble down the greenway for the last couple of miles. It sapped me last year and despite training to conquer it, it sapped me again this year. (Make note: More training required.)If you only do one marathon a year do this one.

In short: The whole day was superb.
In full: Sun, wind, rain and hail and a slow time could not stop this race being one of the best I have ever had. Great atmosphere with lovely people. We must do it next year.

In short: Nice course, well marshalled and great competitors.
In full: Only negative is that runners put themselves in the wrong start zones. I was somewhat boxed in for about 4 miles and trying to weave in and out of slower runners was difficult. Nice run though.

In short: Nice course, well marshalled and great competitors. A few undulations to stretch the field a bit but nothing too severe. Nice touch the little girl at 5 or 6 miles handing out sweets. All this makes a nice Sunday morning into a great one.
