In short: Fantastic, fun morning out in the Surrey hills - loved it!
In full: There were definitely a couple of brutal hills but balanced by some great fun 'wheeeeeeeeee!' downhill sections, and the scenery was (almost) enough to distract from the pain. Much of the first half is very narrow, so if you're after a decent time don't get stuck at the back like I did (not that it mattered to me!)

It was well-organised, with a nice, friendly atmosphere, and the marshalls were excellent - enthusiastic, encouraging, friendly, helpful.

It is quite expensive for a 10k, but it's for a great cause, and I think it was well worth the entry fee.

All in all, a brilliant race, I will be back next year.

In short: Complete mess but fantastic spectators
In full: Abysmal organisation, from the wrong colour numbers being sent out, leading to chaos in the holding pens (I'm still not sure which group I started with), to the lack of signage at the O2, to the baggage fiasco, the lack of changing facilities or shelter, it's all been written before.
I appreciate the organisers were unlucky with the weather, and nobody wants their run to be accompanied by the sizzle of electrocuted musicians, but let's get real here, it was a wet autumn day: nothing out of the ordinary. Surely somebody at IMG ought to have considered that, it being England, in October, there was the outside chance that it might rain? The one thing I disagree about was the distance markers - I saw them all bar one, they were about 7 feet high, just how big do you want them to be?! Perhaps they could have been in more visible colours, but I've seen a lot worse at other events.
As for good old Transport for London, just the usual standard of dire incompetence I've come to expect really. The best thing about the whole day were the spectators - amazing, no way I would've turned out in that weather! Huge thanks to you all, (especially the boy with the inflatable guitar!) it made all the difference.
