In short: the views made up for the hills!!!
In full: My first time in this race but run round here with my club. Thank you to the organisers for going ahead with the race, a bit slippy in places going up but I had a great race and came in well under my est. time.

In short: Looonnng Climbs
In full: My husband and I decided to have a go at this race while on holiday in Cornwall. I was coming back from an ankle injury!!! Having seen the area wondered what we had let ourselves in for as I have yet to do any hill training. But what a good little race, some steep decents followed by some long climbs with some great views. Good organisization and friendly marshall. Well done.

In short: broke my 60 min barrier at last GREAT
In full: Did this last year when I was new to running now a year on I took the bull by the horns and set out to break my pb for 10k to come in under 60 mins I did it 58.17 yipee!! It is such a good flat course round a park I don't mind this repeat lap race as the views are good and the marshall are always smiling. This year it was cold which probably made me run faster. I don't like the cold. Well done everyone great job.

In short: Fairly flat, a good race for first timers at this distance
In full: Out along the old railway line down by the River Lune past the large flocks of Geese and other birds on the river, then inland at the 4 mile mark onto the roads which undulate with snapshot views through the gaps in the hedges, back towards the river to join the old railway at the 7 mile point (2.5 mile mark going out) then back to the Wagon and Horses pub for the finish. A great run. This is my first 10 miler and is in prep for the Langdale Half. I got a time of 1h 42min which was very close to my est. time of 1h 40min. I will be doing this again. Thank you to the organisers.

In short: A good friendly race despite the heat.
In full: A great race for a great cause , yes it was hot with little or no breeze, to hot for my liking, but good fun. Well done everybody. Just one thing could the man at the start get a louder megaphone as the people at the back could not hear him!!
