Extremely friendly and relaxed. First time I've seen barm cakes at water stations! But they were for those who chose the walk option I'm sure. Thanks for a good run. Date of review: May 13, 2013

In short: Excellent race. In full: Big praise to organisers and local people who were incredibly supportive - unlike anything I've seen in other races. Thank you to the lady at mile 12.5 when I was dragging myself up that mean hill who was incredibly encouraging, shouting out my name (numbers were personalised) and really spurring me on. Extremely well organised with plenty of everything - parking, loos, water stations, timimg mats and good feeling. Great tshirt too and massive medal. Very thoughtfully planned. Hopefully my legs will return to normal soon. and I'll be ready for that hill next year! Date of review: May 13, 2013

In full: Many many thanks to all who spent their time planning this great race. It was a really positive day with a friendly atmosphere, very well organized, super marshalls who despite long periods of standing around on a rather raw day, were so encouraging and informative. Lovely and flat too on mostly closed roads which made for a fast pace. Amazing goody bag with teeshirt and medal amongst other things! Thanks very much - I really enjoyed it. In short: Great course around the impressive city sights and parkland of Liverpool In full: I'd agree with the comments about organization pre and post race. It was just sheer numbers I suppose with the added complication of major roadworks into the city. Definitely a good idea to park in a centre car park and walk on to the waterfront. Thanks to the Hilton Hotel for the use of their loos for me and a lot of runners - better than a porterloo! I was disapointed that I couldn't get to the 2 hour pacer because of the crush at the start. Had to get past spectators and around barriers to join in with the race. Next time I'll set off earlier! Improved on my last half time by 13 mins though. Great atmosphere, loved the tshirt and medal and thanks to all the marshalls, organizers and spectators who really helped me along.
