In short: A pretty spectacullar course for a first marathon
In full: My first marathon and was really impressed with the course, the orginisation and the support which made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. We were well lucky with the weather, Saturday was awful whilst for the race there was no wind and a slight drizzle to start with. The hill at 18 miles seemed to go on forever though, was a tough one and looked like is sapped a lot of legs (mine included). Overall delighted that if it is my only marathon I couldn't have chosed a better one!

In short: This is just my favourite race of the year! Brilliant and unsurpassed for organisation, welcomining atmosphere. If you want to know how to do a truelly community event then follow the example of MOKRUN,
In full: This is my 4th year of Mokrun and needless to say it was as fantastic as always. The thought, prepearation and organisation that go into into this event is unsurpassed in my opinion, it seems the whole community is (rightly) proud of the event and do their utmost to make everyone feel very welcome. A great weekend of events.
Part of the route is on the beach at mackrahanish (sp?) and although it is tough running the view of big waves crashing on the beach is worth the extra effort.
This is one of the must do before you die races!
One very slight critiscm, I have not yet mastered the art of drinking water from plastic cups whilst running, I would gladly pay a little extra entrance fee for a small water bottle with sports cap at the water stations.

In short: Fantastic, my favourite race of the whole year.
In full: My 3rd year running the mokrun and I have to agree with the other posters, the orginisation, goody bag and after race food are 2nd to none.

A special word for the Marshalls and water station helpers, there encouragement and enthusiasm is superb, in fact the whole of Campbeltown seem really proud of the reputation the race has got and do everything to enhance it. Well done.

One request! Please turn down the wind next year!

In short: Fantastic race
In full: this is the second year I have done this and it will be the first one pencilled in for next year.

The organisation is superb, the local support very good and the goodie bag the best I have seen.

In short: mud glorious mud - wet, tired but finsih with a great big smile!
In full: absolutelty fantastic, the weather was hideous, but once your really wet it doesn't seem so bad, the course was fantastic and the variety of the trail really good also. All in all a great race.
Only one minor gripe, finishing I think high up in the second half of the field - when I got to the finish there was no large t-shirts left only medium and small socks which means the goodie bag was not really any good at all :-(
