In short: Tough but enjoyable race
In full: I did a 10k in Greenwich park back in 2008 and that took in 2 runs at the hills, this race took in 4 so it was hard going. I enjoyed the challenge, the marshalls were encouraging and the park looked great. Like the Saturday rather the usual Sunday of similar events. Definitely do again, not for beginners.

In short: Seemlessly organised race, staged in a beautiful park.
In full: I ran this race in 2009, and came back as it was great local 10k. Bexley AC have this race nailed, the event is relaxed and inviting to all abilities, Bexley AC cannot take all the credit as Danson is a special setting.

In short: Great race, rotten weather.
In full: I travelled from Bexleyheath to do this race with a friend who was undertaking his first 10k. It had all the makings of great race the scenery is rugged this time of year but still fairly impressive and the course is quick but still challenging in places. All of this changed when we got to about the 7k mark, the weather was the worst I have run in, at times the interminable wind and rain felt like it was trying to stop you in your tracks. Weather aside, good race well organised, pleasant marshalls.

In short: Nice Course, Great Marshalls
In full: The Eltham Park 5 is a good race, with a speedy course, well organised and a couple of the most enthusiastic marshalls I've seen.

In short: Well organised, scenic run
In full: This race would have had PB potential were it not for the draining heat, the course has slight undulation, but nothing dramatic. This being a local race for me I felt that Bexley A.C did us proud, the marshals were friendly and helpful, the organisation was pretty flawless, and Danson Park is impressive this time of year. Definitely have another crack next year...and the medal was quite cool.

In short: Beautiful, challenging race
In full: Everything from the striking scenary to the amiable marshalls and crowd was great about this race. The undulating course was challenging for the seasoned runner but gave respite for beginners towards the last few Kilometres. Welldone to the organisers, a few more toilets and you pretty much have a perfect 10k.

In short: Speedy race, worth getting up for on a Sunday morning.
In full: Marshalls did an excellent job, especially dealing with the traffic. The course had definite PB potential. Organisation would have been spot if it wasn't for the poor water distribution.

In short: Poorly organised but enjoyable enough race
In full: I feel a lot of effort must go into organising these events, so I don't want to be too harsh on the organisers. I took the time to read some of the reviews from 2007 before yesterday's race and was hopeful that the organisers would have taken on board some of the more sallient points. Sadly they hadn't, as distance markers, baggage and organisation of the runners around the course was poor at best. All this said the race was demanding and just what was needed to get 2009 kicked off. One more point to the organisers; Nobody wants a baseball cap at the end of a race especially a moody one like the one received yesterday....Medal and T-shirt(Quality relative to race fee) you cannot go wrong!!

In short: Great views of London while facing a challenging incline.
In full: This was my first competative 10k and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As the run was a 3 lap system with 1 small and 2 two big laps it meant you faced the harsh ascent running through the middle of Greenwich park twice, this managed to slow and stop lots runners, but made for a great obstacle to overcome. Greenwich Park has a great feel to it and offers stunning views across London, but doing laps of any park can become slightly tedious. I would definitely recommend this race but unless you are amazing up steep hills don't expect to beat any personal bests.
