In short: Friendly, well marshalled, mars bar apprecited, but not really very flat!
In full: Bloody freezing!

We were at the back, and it was nicely spaced, with plenty of room to be overtaken by the speedy folk. Well signed, plenty of cheery marshalls (thank you!) and km markers all the way round. Finish handled well (by the time we got back, no idea about before that), and mars bar very much appreciated!

Could do with amending description a bit - advertised 9.30 'warm up' didn't start til nearly 9.50, and describing it as 'flat' was rather mean (especially when on the forum you've put 'sheffield-flat, ie pretty hilly)!

In short: Well organised, lovely scenery, jolly marshalls, plenty of support - great fun!
In full: Lovely race. We were right at the back (literally last) so overcrowding not a problem at all! Marshalls were lovely, plenty stationed throughout the woods, and all waited for us before leaving (shame the samba band packed up before we finished though!) Hill in the middle was an absolute fiend and very slippy (but would much rather go up it than down...). Lovely that the event was still going on around the finish line when we got there - still plenty of support at the end even though we took rather a long time. 'Goody' bag hardly worth the bother though - couple of leaflets and one gel. Expensive - hope most of the cash went to the charity. Cafe put on a good spread at the end.

Overall jolly good fun, very friendly with good support even for us at the back.
