In short: A great morning out in a wonderful setting
In full: I hadn't entered a race for 6 months due to injury and wanted a great experience - and this was it. Very muddy, time not an issue,a few hands and knees ascents of hills and a wonderful setting. There were always new things happening and congratulations to the organisers on fitting in so many different challenges. My only grouch was that it seemed a long, long time to the first drinks station, which distance wise was not that far..just an extremely tough first few miles. The 2.30 cut-off was quite tough in these conditions.
I would definitely recommend this event, especilly if you love a long muddy run in beautiful countryside
