In short: Fourth time of doing this event - love it. Great atmospherre, friendly and fun.
In full: Loved the orchid in the goody bag: the fourth really good and imaginative 'goody'plus cake which is always welcome. Really well organised and a really good course too. Fab - well done.

In short: Second year - had sort of forgotten about the hills - but it makes it more interesting!
In full: Well organised, no nonsense race. Love doing the local ones and this is my local long one so really enjoyed taking part. Better weather this year and nice to have a medal. Will be back.

In short: Excellent race - quite tough and very cold. Wasn't sure it would run due to conditions but good fun.
In full: I would have preferred mile markers or maybe just one or two at 2 and 4 miles, otherwise it's difficult to guage. Also, and quite rightly given the weather conditions, the organisers preferred the runners not to use MP3s. However, this did make it more difficult for runners such as myself who use tracks to help pace the distance. This is a smalll point in an otherwise really enjoyable event - once I'd got there in the icy conditions. Also, well done to the organisers for sticking with the race: it would have been easy to call it off.

In short: Ok - some good bits: chip timing, lots of marshals, nice tee shirt: bad bits: not really that flat and didn't like the 2K trek back to the car which wasn't well signposted and ended up having to ask several passers-by. I wasn't alone in this either.

In short: First time for me, second time for the organisers. Job well done!
In full: Really good marshals and organisation. Varied off-road route, complete with stiles and tow paths and twists and turns as advertised. Good atmosphere, shame there weren't more people supporting but really enjoyed the morning; helped by the excellent organisation.

In short: Good race, first time. Very hot - don't often see people collapsing at a 10K. Water stations weren't t very generous with portions
In full: Generally very well organised except for the water stations. I don't normally bring extra water for a 10k but checked the weather forecast and thought I should. Maybe an additional station would have helped. Being offered a third of a plastic cup after 5K in that heat was a bit off, I have to say. However, first time for me at this event, great pb potential. Had been worried about bottlenecks from previous posts but people seemed v realistic in the waves and so many positives but TOO HOT!
