In short: Excellent (never run in an oven before) In full: My first marathon and I really enjoyed it, didnt enjoy the leg cramps at miles 20 - 22 but managed to shift the pain and ran a disapointing 4.43. Had hoped to run under 4 hrs but none of my training had prepared me for running in an oven. Very little breeze and 25c (nice) crowds were very good and encouraging, organisation at the start was good but afterwards it was poor, the queue through one small (pedestrain) gate into the pick up zone was like a cattle market, I almost passed out trying to get through. Nice medal and t shirt, I'm convinced I can get a lot closer to 4 hours, just need to work out how to avoid the dreaded leg cramps (got it in both, absolute agony). Overall, a brilliant race, great night after in Rose Street and Grassmarket. Will defo do it again to beat that time. Date of review: May 24, 2010
