In short: great route, most enjoyable
In full: the weather was pants.
there was far too much hanging around in the frezing rain and wind (there were loads of people huddled together in a tent like emperor penguins- I wasn't allowed in!)

it is a good course though and 5miles into it, I started to enjoy it immensely. good local support.

will be back again next year

In short: tough hills- great atmosphere
In full: Like childbirth, I think I forgot just how hilly the windermere marthon actually is.
I remembered the hills at 7miles and 21, but there are actually rather a lot in between too!

I really enjoyed it and the start and the finish are great, but the parking this year was not good.

There seemed to be no logical order to who was allowed out when, leading to some fraught drivers in the queue I was in. It was a shame as it left a bad end to what was otherwise a great day.

In short: well timed pacing run for spring marathon
In full: nice friendly atmosphere
could have done with more loos before the start! but you can't have it all. the marshalls were very supportive and race was nearly totally traffic free.
worth the journey down for

In short: nearly traffic free, good atmosphere, quick run
In full: Surprisingly nice run along river banks, and accross the milenium bridge in Lancaster. I struggled a bit in the 'wind tunnell' that seemed to be the first 5 miles. The hail storm at mile 9 was not welcome either, and it was a tad cold, so conditions not great. The mile markers inaccuracies was irritating as I thought I was having an extremely poor race and thought I'll just enjoy the run, when suddenly I seemed to be very close to home. it made it very difficult to pace yourself.
I didn't get my PB despite the lack of hills- but I'll be back next year
