In short: Fantastic countryside run
In full: I love runs along country lanes where i can nose at sprawling properties and dream. So this run was perfect for me. A very well organised start letting the cuclists head off first and then the runners. Straight out and onto country lanes traffic free and beautiful scenary. Well marshalled and signposted all the way round. Certificate and water at the end where there is a Summer Fayre and great atmosphere. I will definately be back next year and hope to get my family involved after witnessing the families happily making their way round the 3 or 8 mile course however they seem fit.( bikes, scooters, push chairs or walking). As for PB its my first 8 mile run so had nothing to go by. Wanted to do it in 1 hr 6 mins and managed to do it in 1 hr 3 mins which was great. I found it a little on the hilly side but still feel it is begginner friendly as there were walkers etc. great run and i will be back next year. £10 is an absolute bargain for this run.

In short: Perfectly flat makes for very quick run
In full: Great run on a very cold day but that didnt dampen spirits. Perfectly flat leads to a very quick run. A course record for me personnly beating last years time by 30 seconds. Really enjoyed this run despite the cold weather. I will be back next year.

In short: Lovely day, lovely course, lovely run
In full: Really enjoyed this run. Yes it was a little cramped at the start but so what it was only for 30secs or so before it opened out. Loved the course as i much prefer country lane runs rather than city centre runs. It was a great course on a fine day.
Big mention for the support at Whittington Fradley and at the finish,it was great to see complete strangers out and cheering us on and it really does make a difference to us runners.
The coach ride back to the start was a nice touch as well.
i will certainly return to this run next year.

In short: Fantastic atmosphere made 13.1 mile go very quickly enjoyable instead of painfull
In full: My first time at this event and i would love to become a regular. From the start i felt part of something special from showing great respect to Troops in wheel of stell race which was very emotional to joining in the race warm up. The run seemed to go very quickly which was mainly down to the spectators cheering you on and the cheering zones and constant music playing. Even on quiet parts of the run we passed the time with choruses of "hoggy hoggy hoggy" "oi oi oi".I was very pleased with my time of 2 hours 11 mins just 4 mins outside my personal best. The only downside i can think off was that i took me longer to get from the finish line to the ferry and on the ferry than it did to run the race.I can appreciate this though considering the amount of people there but it was hard to take for my wife who came to watch. We stayed in Whitley Bay and had a great weekend travelling about on Metro so did not need the car once we were at digs.
Overall i had a fantastic time and would return every year if i get the chance.

In short: I beat my PB by over 5 mins. Really enjoyed and will do every year if its on.
In full: What a beautiful run. Along the river and through parkland scenary which aided the enjoyment which aided my super fast time.(For me anyway) If this run is on every year i will do everything in my power to do it every year. A small amount of runners did not take anything away from this run.
All for St Giles Hospice a great reason to run on its own.
