In short: Fun and enjoyable, but a bit disorganised
In full: Great way to start the year, cold but sunny, lovely setting, and friendly atmosphere. The marshalls were well placed to give advanced warning on the most slippery parts.
But.... it was virtually impossible to hear the marshall's address to the runners at the start, and I'm sure the distance was less than 6 miles which was a little disappointing.

In short: Great race!
In full: Shame it was wet this year, but still a great atmosphere, and the hill was still steep!

In short: Great fun!
In full: My first-ever half marathon, and I loved it!! Helped by gorgeous weather and great support from marshalls and locals.
One slight criticism: I think the race booklet is a bit intimidating to beginners, and it nearly put me off doing it.

In short: Great race, the hills made it fun and interesting.
In full: Fantastic!! I've just finished it and I'm as high as a kite! My 3rd race ever and great fun. Tough hills in first half, then fast downhill second half. Great views from the top, friendly, well organised. I usually run off-road, but would definitely do this one again.

In short: Thoroughly enjoyed it! Hills, and plenty of mud to make it interesting!
In full: This was my very first 10K (2nd ever race) and I had a wonderful time. Blue skies, sunshine, snow on the ground, lovely scenery and LOADS OF MUD!! The mud and snow made the ascents and descents very interesting.
