In short: Well organised, fast course, with the majority of the last wave being first timers, would have liked to have seen more of the Olympic Park

In short: Best running event I have ever taken part in!
In full: Fantastic way to start the year. Amazing atmosphere, with most people in fancy dress (including thongs, knight of ni, landed gentry etc). Slowest runners start first and lot of people walking up the hills, so wasn't left behind, as I thought I might be.

Great post race goodies - proper winter running top with all competitors names on, fleecy hat, soup, sandwiches, carrots, beer.

Loads of free photos available, as well as professional ones.

In short: Beautiful scenery, but no toilet on route
In full: This run was made by the scenery and the weather. Plus had a very good massage for £10 after.
However I couldn't believe there were no toilets on route at all. I managed to hold on till the end of the first lap and ran down to the portaloos that were just being loaded on to a truck, which added another 0.2 miles to my distance.
I parked in a different carpark than the recommended one, which cost £10 but meant I was on time.
Other negatives - very few spectators, a 3:30 limit not great for marathon beginners, water in cups, no medal.

In short: Race was aimed at raising charity funds, so looks like they limited the budget. Would have like bag store, more than 4 portaloos and for the marshal to encourage runners more. But would probably do it again.
