In short: great hat!
In full: it's so good to get something other than a t-shirt for once! The entry cost was a bargain compared to most halfs and the course had some nice scenery and was surprisingly well supported. I can see why this sells out so quickly each year.

In short: muddy and fun
In full: I ran this last year and was 30 seconds faster despite feeling fitter this year. I think (hope)the mud made it slower! A lovely course and well run race, would recommend it.

In short: excellent!
In full: i did the leicester half a couple of weeks ago and the difference was light and day. Leicester was a pretty dull and uninspiring course with little to keep spectators amused. This was a beautiful course with a great atmosphere and some stalls and shops nearby for specatators. The course is tough, and the wind was howling, but i'll definitely be back.

In short: Fast field, fast course, well run and good value
In full: If you like well run races that aren't too over crowded then definitely give this a try. I thought the majority of the field were above average so excellent for getting pushed to a PB, but probably not quite so friendly for the slower runner.

In short: Well worth running
In full: Sometimes I feel sorry for race organisers as runners are a fickle bunch, it definitely could have been better organised and the marshalls better briefed. However a short delay at the start didn't hamper what was a very enjoyable run.

I really think the organisers should keep the same route next year and use the experience of this year to try and iron out the issues.

In short: best race i've had this year
In full: The weather froze the mud which was very lucky, it could have been a mud bath day! Lovely undulating course, good atmosphere. I will be back next year.

In short: Good fun, well worth it for locals. Has that 'big race' feel you only usually get with half marathon and above.
In full: Good points: Excellent atmosphere, good for beginners, amazing finish in the stadium, good parking, good marshals. Bad points: I take a split every KM and I know my pace well enough to know that some of the markers are way off! Course isn't the best, i don't mind hills but there were too many sharp corners. The sub 50m pace guy went out as fast as the sub 45 guys then tailed off to a 48 ish, if anyone was following it might not have been the best race plan..
