In short: Great atmosphere despite the weather
In full: Really chilly day. First time we'd done this and really enjoyed it. The support and music is amazing. Well organised.

In short: Very well organised as usual and good atmosphere but annoying about no time board at the start
In full: I did this race for the first time last year and came back for more. It was very well marshalled and organised and a nice fun atmosphere.

There are a nice mix of runners of all different ages and abilities HOWEVER, I have to agree with SpaceCoyote - there were no time board this year, which was my real gripe and a large number of women walking the majority of the course. I am not particularly fast and was realtively near the front at the start, but found myself tripping over people and nearly having accidents weaving through the large numbers of very slow people. As already said I think it's great so many people do the race, especially for charity, and alsos understand that loads of people need to stop every now and then, but it is really hard when there are *quite* so many people walking on what is meant to be a run. If time board were back next year and a point was made about them I think it would be a massively improvement.

After all that, I did really enjoy it. It's where I do most of my training but was a nice, varied and flat route and a much better course than last year.

In short: Very well organised, good marshalls
In full: First time i'd done this one, pretty dull scenery but to be expected. Really quick - got a PB but would have felt more demoralised nearer the back.

In short: Slight lack of safety especially in the rain, could be better value too
In full: first time i've done this race and i'm relatively new to the 5k distance. Generally well organised, but marshalls could have been better, especially due to the pouring rain during lap 3 and some very slippery pavements combined with tight corners. Could have been a wee bit cheaper too considering the lack of marshalls etc!

However, lovely scenery and a good route, pretty good for a PB, heard lots of people saying they'd got them.
