In short: Potential to have been a good race but messed up. In full: This had the chance to be a good race, it had good backing, roads were closed, the route although having one big hill gave you a chance afterwards but there is no excuse for directing runners the wrong way, the course was well short and what made it worse for me and others is that I was loking at a seasons best and so were others. Fun runners were allowed to start at the same time which caused confusion and collisions at the point where they break from the group. It seems funny that an individual can organise the Potteries Marathon/Potters Half without a hitch for 20 years and the Stoke council mess up there first attempt although as someone who works for the council I ask myself why am I suprised. If they do it again next year pleae give it another go as it could be good. Date of review: May 30, 2010
