In short: Best UK marathon to date.
In full: In all aspects, this was a fantastic race. The organisation was second to none and the course was mostly flat through picturesque Chester and some lovely surrounding villages. To have road closures the whole way was a treat. There was a little sting in the tail with a tough hill at 24 miles, but that keeps you honest and I for one enjoyed it.

Couldn't honestly say there was one aspect of the race I didn't enjoy. Thoroughly recommended.

In short: Top race
In full: This marathon really ticks all the boxes for me. Fast, flat course, superb organisation, excellent marshalling and great weather :-) Not quite as scenic as I expected (but perhaps that was just me), but really would recommend this to any potential marathon runner.

In short: Excellent, well-organised and marshalled race. Undulating in parts, but quick.
In full: Very friendly marshalls and great organisation. It doesn't seem to be a PB course, but it is amazing how many people seem to get PB's. Well done to the Flitwick Flyers again.

In short: Great organisation, scenic but challenging course.
In full: This was a very well-marshalled race - both in terms of numbers and encouragement. The course was excellent - scenic and undulating enough to work the legs and lungs. Great idea to finish with the last 400m on grass. A very good final race before the FLM.

Constructive criticisms - possibly some energy drinks at one of the stops later in the race (12 or 15 miles) and something more substantial than water for the finish - be it even a banana - especially as what makes the atmosphere is cheering in your fellow runners. Having to go back to the Sports Hall to locate something with carb / protein was not ideal.

Overall, a very good race.

In short: Excellent organisation, friendly marshalling, scenic course but hills certainly work the legs and lungs.
