In short: Fast, flat and superbly organised.
In full: If I have one gripe it is that I could have spent less time running through industrial parks. That said I realise that they might be hard to avoid and are easy to marshal - probably a significant factor in a race of this size. Big thank you to all the marshals and organisers!

In short: A race with eveything.
In full: A race in the loosest sense of the word - if anything you are competing with the terrain rather than other runners! But when you make it to the top of one of those killer ascents it is like running on top of the world. Even the climbs were enjoyable once I realised how stoopid it was to try to run up them. This has to be the most breathtakingly scenic race in the country!

In short: Nice, well organised race by the seaside.
In full: On a sunny day it would have been glorious but as it was it still had a certain scenic charm at the promenade end of the route once the rain had eased off enough to see anything! Otherwise a friendly race with good support considering the weather and flat and fast enough for a PB even with the wind. Excellent cakes and very friendly marshalls(especially considering how cold and wet some of them must have been!)

In short: A well organised, friendly little race in a nice part of the world.
In full: A nice mix of hills, tracks and muddy trails, nice views and a great spread of cakes at the finish. Well marshalled and a sensible start time for the those like me who are allergic to getting up early on a Sunday.

In short: An extremely agreeable trot through some beautiful countryside with some very friendly people.
In full: If you havent done this race before, do it and dont be put off by everyone telling you how hard it is. It is challenging but if you train on hills and pace yourself you will enjoy the experience, particularly with the great atmosphere that this race has.
