In short: Good for Racing Snakes
In full: Expensive ,Boring Run i lost interest at 5k and not for beginners as you only have 70 mins until they remove marshals were the route then becomes busy with traffic.Excellent club event though.
Facilities good with plenty of parking.Good quality Tee Shirt to finish.

In short: Demanding yet Rewarding
In full: A great balance of hills and down hills , thers one hill from around 9 miles 'a long and gradual hill but rewarded with a good down hill, plenty of drinks ,not for beginers.
Race finish straight and full of atmosphere with (comedy) pa system. I consider myself to be a good half marathon runner and this was my worst time for 12 months.Excellent marshals as always' Thanks Robbertstown

In short: A good end to the year - 10k but ??
In full: This starts of a good event good location traffic free and plenty of runners, with good organisation and instructions given via loud speaker, however you can collect your tee shirt at the start prob to save time later. The start is 1k up the road a good warm up distance, start is tight and running is difficult with slower runners , could line up in predicted time zones for ease of start, the km markers are good and the course is not demanding.Marshals are good but did not offer much support ,during the race i noticed that people that are late for registration or late joined the race at the 1k, chip timing would eliminate this , i commented to an organiser after the race and he agreed it was a problem they could not control. At the finish line you expect a warm welcome and a well deserved h2o ,as there is non given out during the race, but your just told to keep moving and to step aside, the instructions stated water would be at the end of the race, but it was in the sports centre a good 300m walk back down the road and nobody told me at the end of the race i just found out by accident. But overall a good quality fun race ,good organisation lack a personal touch, not my best race this year.

In short: Cold Day with warm attitude
In full: I drove 140 mile round trip to do this event, well worth it, loads of parking all be it on a bumpy field, toilets a bit of a problem for the amount of contestans, refreshments a little expensive at a pound for a tea, some areas of the route were a little slippy due to the frosty morning ,mile markers clear and every mile, signs telling you water station coming up, route was mostly traffic free, very good atmosphere due to a loop at around 6 mile were we all pass each other and everyone shouts encouragement,i was told by total strangers "well done" "keep going"about 4 times i have never run in a race were that has happened. The route is fast and flat ideal for begginers and racers alike.i finished the race with a lady who shouted encouragements at me urging to stay with her and that "you dont want to be beaten by a 60 year old" safe to say i pushed at the end and we congratulated each other at the end.
With days like this we can all say the long training , running alone are worth it.

In short: Great race with good challenge but lacks finish
In full: Start is far away from registration and is all a little confusing, start line not obvious and you never knew when to stop your watch as no prominent finish line stood out.Well marshalled and friendly.Limited parking at registration. Some of the route is risky due to traffic and side streets were traffic could approach, a small incline leading to a downhill 2 milish with a good demanding hill for about 3 milish leading to flat.Thrown on to the boggy mud for the finishing count when there was a perfectly dry dirt track. Results found on accy road runners web site.pre race map not clear.

In short: Good organisation Good Atmosphere
In full: For the on the day price of £10.00 this is not a cheap race i ran with my wife as it was here first ever run over 5k.She was DELIGHTED SHE FINISHED BUT THE GOODIE BAG WAS DISAPOINTING.
Full of advertisements a keyring,t-shirt and thats it plenty of fruit and water at the end.
For a council run event it could be better everything seemed a bit rushed and a lot of small hills for beginers could prove difficult. The chip system and more events and stalls on the day could sharpen the value of this event.
Marshals were brilliant.Excellent marker posts.
but overall a great day out but left disappointed by the overall value for money aspect.

In short: Fell/Tail for Beginners
In full: This was a well organised ,scenic course plenty of encouragement from marshals.Excellent for joggers and runners alike.Easy to find plenty of parking.
TOILETS/Showers very small and mile markers are almost non existant.
If you do this race youll go back for more. Its got plenty of scope to become a family event, maybe something for the kids ,a bouncy castle and a 1k fun run or something.
Loved it? thanks idle ac

In short: Not for absolute beginners
In full: Up hill mostly till 5km point then all down hill and flat.X-country style start then road through an estate then out onto good roads.
Not traffic free. Not being in a club and joining on day price was a little steep.Showers and changing rooms, food ,drinks and dj.Some parks for the kids.
Fininsh line slightly confusing in the sence you have to ask for things instead of being given then as a reward.Very well marshalled
