In short: See you next year
In full: The only problems I encountered were getting to the stadium (the traffic was a nightmare)and the poor organisation at the start. The race itself was very enjoyable. What hills?
The shuttle bus at the end was great, finished the race, got t-shirt and drink and jumped staraight on the bus back. Brilliant. Excellent medal and goody bag too.

In short: Decent race in perfect running weather
In full: The start was very congested for the first half kilometer due to the 5 & 10K starting together. It was also pretty difficult to overtake in places which doesnt make it a PB course in my opinion. Overall this was an enjoyable morning though. Liked the later start, friendly marshalls, goody bag and medal.

In short: Decent run out at a lovely location.
In full: Difficult to overtake in places but was generally well marshalled if a little unenthusiastically at times. Nice views and pleased the rain held off even if it was a little windy. Pretty bog standard t-shirt. Would do again though.

In short: A really enjoyable race, thanks to all involved.
In full: As said before the start could have been better organised but the race itself was really enjoyable. Lots of well wishers and encouragement from marshalls, and many thanks to the lovely children with drinks and the man with the hose.
What a goody bag too, other races could learn alot from this one.

In short: A testing course but well worth it
In full: A good way to spend a Saturday evening. Difficult to overtake in places especially at the start, but the test of hills and sand (like a beach it was, can you believe that in Stourbridge?) made it challenging at times but good fun.

In short: Lovely day, nice park, good cause. Very rewarding race.
In full: This was my first time here and having read some of the comments about this race last year, I thought I was pretty well prepared. The hills could have been worse (the final hill up to the finish is harsh though) but what I struggled with was the constant double backing. Psychologically this is hard, as others have mentioned, it's no fun going down a hill when you know that in a few minutes you've got to come right back up it.
That said I enjoyed the run and was very pleased with my time.
Thanks to everyone who cheered today and made that final hill more tolerable and well done to everyone involved in the organisation, you all did a fantastic job.

In short: Challenging course
In full: Congratulations to everyone who completed the Cobra today. It was so hot and the hills seemed so steep at times, especially the last 2km. Fantastic views in places especially from the obelisk and the marshalls were a constant encouragement.
I did take a great sense of achievement from the race itself but I have to be honest, I was very disappointed with the 'unique commemorative award'. This turned out to be a mug! But not just a mug, a 2007 Cobra Classic mug with a sticker over the date. I may be on my own here but I would much rather pay a little extra and get a decent reward. It's not too much to ask is it?
The lack of water throughout the race (first water station was a joke) and at the end was also a big negative. Would it cost so much for some bottles?
Aside from the above gripes this was a really testing run in difficult conditions which I'm ultimately proud of participating in and completing. With a few little tweaks this race could really be a classic!

In short: Good atmosphere with some nice scenery
In full: As a first timer I thoroughly enjoyed the night, despite the heat, and would recommend the DK to any other beginners. Only negative was the lack of toilets.
