In short: A good value Half on virtually traffic-free roads.
In full: All the essetial ingrediants: well signed, easy (near) parking, rolls & cakes & teas etc, a nice flat course which we all know will nearly always be windy (altough the announcement of 70mph windspeed was a worry, until corrected to 17mph). Great supportive marshalls and plenty of water stations. Results available later in day, and chip times soon followed. Well done.

In short: A well-organised event with beautiful scenery
In full: More road than usual for a trail run, makes for a good training run for an autumn road marathon. Lovely start up to Old Sarum, then views across Salisbury to the cathedral as you pass 2 miles. Only negative was the very busy road junctions (cars) to be negotiated at Wilton. The busy town streets were full of August tourists, but I was happy to put up with that for the enjoyable run past the cathedral, and along by the river. We were told distances were approximate, so not surprised to clock 26.8 for the marathon.

In short: A well-organised run through charming countryside
In full: A fine event. Only small gripe: could have done with a carpark marshall a bit earlier as cars were flowing in to the relatively small already full car park and gillying around trying to find alternative parking. Perhaps even a marshall up the road to direct us to the station park.

In short: A great local race in a beautiful riverside setting
In full: Don't know why I never got around to doing this one before. Exceptional value. A shaft of sunshine would have set the riverside scenary off nicely but you can't organise everything! They organised everything else though!

In short: A lovely run by lakes and river
In full: The start was a bit narrow, but after the first half kilometre there was plenty of room. A very pleasant evening run which was enthusiastically marshalled. Well done all.

In short: An excellent marathon to get a PB, but beware the weather.
In full: I had to pinch myself to believe I was in Wales! A flat marathon course and uninterrupted sunshine all day!! It was the latter that resulted in me feeling very dehydtrated for April .... and for my body looking like a negative photo of a running vest later in the day. Agree with comments earlier re commentator who made ordinary folks like me feel a bit special for a few yards at the finish. My wife said he kept up the banter non-stop. Small gripe was it seemed a long gap after water at 3.5, and then to get 2 water stations about a mile apart at 8/9 miles.
The next day started grey & rainy so we were very lucky.

In short: A good value 20 mile trainiing run
In full: Not sure how they pack it all in, including T-shirt, at a price half others charge. 1st lap tough, and no drink for 6 miles. Only complaints: roads rather busy. Finishing marshall AWOL on turn-in at finish. Overall very good with main parking right by the start/finish.

In short: Not a 10K, more like 8.8K, but some nice touches
In full: A bit of a curates egg. The course at 8.8K was badly short. Not being allowed in until 45 mins before start time, and nowhere to shower or leave baggage was poor but we were aware of that. Half the course was off-road which was fine, but could we have been notified? On the good side, a charity run with a medal, a massage, tea, hot cross bun, an unusual place to run among the animals, including reindeer, made it quite memorable. Also one of the best warm-up routines (and boy did we need it) from 2 enthusiastic fitness guys

In full: .....I guess that is tempus fugit for you. Can we have a blue towel next year please?.... I'm getting too much stick down our club for using the pink one.

In short: Bitterly cold -7C as we arrived. Warmed up by a lovely run & welcome soup.
In full: Couldn't believe what we got for a tenner! A fine course, a long-sleeved running top, and soup. Agree with earlier comments re thankyou to cheerful marshals who must have been freezing. At least we got warm by running.
