In short: Another PB this year in the Half
In full: Again I managed a PB on a course that certainly pushes you but the support you get is a credit to Nottingham. There was one thing I would like to point out was the appearance of bollards at the top of the castle hill. Not sure how long they have been there but nearly went straight into one. Maybe next time they could be removed for the race or stewards place in front of them. But again a great race. Would also like to say well done to the people who did the full marathon as the 2nd part of the race is tough and hot!

In short: Great day and good race
In full: There were a few organisational problems but I don’t think you can blame the organiser that much as people will and continue to turn up 30 minutes before start time and think they can park where they like, stroll to the start and just run! As for the water I can’t say I saw any problems but come on we all knew it was going to be hot so bring your own water for after the race! Maybe an extra water station should of been provide on route or two water stations at each point one each side to avoid queues.

Thought the idea of starting the runners in numbered order was good though one downfall was people who entered on the day got given a high number and then proceeded to ignore the staggered start and start where they wanted! Maybe hold back some numbers for quick runners who enter on the day or don’t allow entries on the day.

In short: Not as flat as some people make out!
In full: Agree goodie bag was rubbish most of it straight into the recycle bin. Thought the course wasn’t PB potential as much as last year. If you look at the course altitude graph the last 3k were up hill and you had to do this part twice in the race! Yes it maybe not a steep hill but 3k on a steady incline is hard work! Maybe change the direction of the course next year.

In short: Sort out the start!!!
In full: Please clear the start of cars I lost about 40 seconds stopping and starting.
It is a narrow start but that would be ok if there was no cars parked opposite each other making it very difficult for a 1000 runners to get through a gap of about 2 meters. Come on it's not hard to sort it out for one morning in a year!

In short: Lacked organisation & Support
In full: Yes it was a shambles at the start but not all down to the organisers as they warned racers that there would be queues for race numbers and that. So why didn’t people get there earlier???
A bit tight at the start but ok once you got going, though could of done with keeping the supporters out of the way!
Poor t-shirt as you can hardly see the insignia its that small but overall a good course and certainly a PB breaker but with better organisation it could be a very good race!

In short: Good PB breaker but shame about the start!
In full: Even though the start area was small i think if they had marked the start it would of made it better! I just started at the back and managed to make up the places alright! The hardest part of the race was from mile 10 to about 12 but not the hill! Overall a very good race
