In short: Tough with excellent goody bag
In full: Very well organised, excellent marshalls, I certainly needed encouragement on some of the uphill sections. Tricky parts through the woods kept you awake. Fantastic value with the best goody bag I have ever received.

In short: Friendly people, unfriendly wind.
In full: Start finish area had a local friendly feel and cakes for the non runners. Interesting trails in the beginning followed by rough road around old airfield. Flat and with the possibility of a quick time. Seemed to be running into the wind for most of the race.

In short: An excellent race spoilt by long queues after the finish.
In full: Slow start not helped by the road works. Excellent weather for running quickly and a flat course. Good support in the last km. Long queue for drink and tee shirt at the end, glad it wasn't raining.

In short: Lots of hills and ice to wake you up on a January morning. Good marshals and scarf at the finish was a nice touch.

In short: Friendly run through autunm scenery
In full: Warm and sunny for an October race. Friendly atmosphere and gloroius autumn countryside. Strong wind caused nuts to fall from the trees, only one near miss. Lack of water at last drinks station is only complaint for a well organised race. Definitely one for next yaer.

In short: Fast, Dull with Killer last 400m
In full: Well organised but why such large gaps between starting waves? Tight turns at start were frustrating. Penistone road was boring and lacked support, but was fast. Uphill finish was murder.
