In short: Brilliant race
In full: This is actually the 2012 review, but there's no option for it. Anyway, my first Bradley Stoke 10K, and I thought it was fab. Great start, lots of parking and toilets with reasonable queues, as well as shelter for runners and supporters. The course was really good, who knew that Bradley Stoke had such good trails to run on? Well I do now. It was slightly challenging at times with some hills, but nothing that should put off a first time runner. There was some mud, but not too much, just enough for dirty trainers. The marshalling was excellent and there was quite a bit of support around the course. There seemed to be a good mix of serious club runners and normal runners. A fab goodie bag and technical t-shirt at the end, as well as a banana and use of the indoor facilities were available. It's not the cheapest 10K, but good value as the organisation and freebies are excellent. The only downside is that my chip time and my own time were wildly inaccurate. A great race overall, would definitely do it again.

In short: Very well organised big city race and local to boot
In full: Although this is an expensive event (I'm lucky, my work pays for us each year), it's a very slickly organised affair. Great for beginners to elites. The series of wave starts works well, good facilities at the start and finish, a relatively flat course (for Bristol anyway). Goodie bag was lacking a bit, although the choccie bar was a welcome addition! Technical finishers T-shirt in a range of sizes is great. Also, despite the road closures, you can still get with 1/4 mile of the start by bus and car,so it's great for travel.

In short: Brilliant first time marathon
In full: Fantastic first marathon to me. Great organisation and support from the marshalls and crowds throughout. Maybe not enough portoloos, but then again there never are enough, no matter which race you attend. A busy race, but was able to run as soon as I passed the start line and thinned out a lot. Plenty of water and fuel stops. There are a couple of hills in the first 10 miles, but nothing too horrific. Some lovely scenic parts of the route, only marred by a few miles around the power station in the last third of the route. Great atmosphere especially along the seafront. Highly recommended!
