In short: Friendly, welcoming and worth the journey. In full: Despite a few frantic calls to the wife back home for directions when the M4 was closed, made it in time for my first experience of Chippenham Half. Great organisation throughout and an excellent goodie bag containing medal, tech t-shirt, sweets and more, this race puts the local rivals of Bath and Bristol to shame. Friendly marshalls everywhere on the course make up for the lack of support compared to big city halfs. plenty of bottled water stops. Quick results. The only fault I could find is that it's not quite as flat as the club make out on their website. Miles 10 - 12 are quite challenging. It is a beautiful course though which nearly distracts you from your pain! All in all a huge congratulations to Chippenham Harriers. Highly recommended. Date of review: September 12, 2010

In short: They've got it right first time! In full: The inaugural Stinger 9 and Totton running club did a wonderful job. From assistance with a late entry to clockwork organisation on the day coupled with a gorgeous course taking in some challenging hills I can't think of anything that could be improved upon. Special mention to the legions of marshalls directing you at every turn and offering welcome encouragement - you did your club proud. in short I cant recommend this race highly enough.
