In short: Fantastic event!
In full: Fifth year in succession I have entered (and probably first with rain!). The new route is superb. Would be hard going after a wet week, but was spot on. Lots of lovely scenery (as far as I could make out through rained-on specs!), with tons of variety - fields, bridges, short sharp hills, rivers (nearby, thankfully, as opposed to run through), nice medal. Terrific!!

In short: Always love it!
In full: Five years running for me now. Not sure which was worse - last year's heat or my waterlogged specs this time! As ever, a superbly enjoyable race. Shame my new Asics' laces decided to come undone in the wet weather losing me valuable seconds.

In short: A really wonderful occasion. I love this race.
In full: Four years in a row for me now. Such a well-organised, enjoyable race with a lovelt vibe. Gutted I was 2 seconds short of last year, though!

In short: Wonderful once again!
In full: Absolutely fantastic. Lovely weather, lovely scenery, lovely atmosphere, excellent T shirt. My fourth time running this race and if the rumour is true that it was the last I'll really miss it.

In short: Lovely race and really well organised.
In full: Third year in a row I have run this one, and it was even better than before. The lovely weather helped. Great scenery, brilliant organisation, and I even won my first spot prize to go with my banana and medal. The whole thing was so enjoyable that I soon forgot the killer uphill bit and my shame at briefly walking part of it thus taking 13 secs longer than last year!

In short: Superb once again
In full: My third year running in this race and I love it. The organisation is fantastic as is the atmosphere. Plus, the photos on the YTRRC site are excellent even if I look like I am about to peg out! Yet again it was scorching hot but that just aded to the challenge. A lovely setting with a bit of everything: shde, open, paths, fields, a tiny section of road. Lovely!!

In short: Mud, wind and fun!
In full: My thitd Canter and as evrr it was agaony at the time but fun with hindsight! The extra 2K was also a mixture of fun and pain! A wonderful memento at the end. Only tiny criticism - at the very end of the race is wasn't 100% clear which way to run from the car park to the finish line. That's just trivial, though - terrific race!

In short: Really nice small event
In full: I found it hard going 2 yrs ago but loved it this time and felt good all the way. Lovely village atmos and well organised. Excellent scenery and some challenging but beatable hills. Shame the horse event meant having to stop for at least 10 secs, meaning missing out on a target time. Great fun.
