In short: Great day - highly recommend it
In full: A brilliant race - managed to take a whole 40mins of my previous time so i'm happy.

You really did need to reccy the route beforehand, quite a few people had difficultly navigating, its tough but worth it!!!

In short: great views, great marshalls, great snacks
In full: Had a really good day, did the full and was right at the back but didn't mind. There was a lack of water though, i hid some half way round and was really glad. Great food along hte way for the marathon at least and really nice friendly marshalls. I agree about the signing, I come from round there and felt the instructions relied on local knowledge. I reccied the second half the week before and was glad as the field was sparse by then.

Thanks very much though - what a great day!

In short: Gruelling, but great
In full: Unique event which was really well organised, but the heat did it for me, i can't say i enjoyed myself, but the potential was there without the record breaking temperatures. I may go back next year and hope for a few clouds.

In short: good fast race with some great scenery
In full: My first marathon and really enjoyed it - delay at start not a problem, but some confusion over location of the start. Great running on the prom to Bispham, didn't like the cups but seemed to be enough stations. Thanks Blackpool, I had a great day.

In short: Loved it, fantastic stadium finish
In full: Had a great day, route diverse and interesting from a fantatically supported Eccleshall Road? through an underground carpark and several underpasses, really felt like I'd seen Sheffield. No probs parking, but got there early. Loved the finish running round hte edge of the stadium and last 100 m on the track, seemed well organised with loads of really friendly marshalls encouraging everyone along. I had my own liquids - so water/energy drinks in cups didn't bother me too much, also wasnt'too bothered about the lack of T shirt - always too big for me! I did a PB and really enjoyed myself. Agreed with some other comments, a bit better organisation with the pace marks early on to prevent bunching up and a slow start, otherwise, thanks a great race.

In short: Really enjoyed it - good support - OK organisation and a personal PB
In full: I did this last year and wasn't as impressed, I htink they have tweaked with the route a bit, but not sure. Nice that a good percentage is in the park. Good organisation considering numbers but confusion/queues over bag collection and had to wait a while for the bus.

In short: Good event, well organised good course
In full: My first half, so nothing much to compare with but felt the race day organisation was excellent, park and ride efficient, as was the left baggage facility.
Though could have done with more specific signage coming into Liverpool as got lost several times (or was that just us!?)
