In short: Nice setting, well organised and with a fast course
In full: I was really pleased to find this race so near to where I lived and even more pleased to find it was a well organised event with enough runners to feel like a big race but not so many as to congest the route.
A flat and fast course and very scenic when running along the towpath.
I'll definitely be a regular at this one.

In short: Brilliant, brilliant event. Fantastic atmosphere, organisation and course!
In full: This is the best event I've ever run in. The organisers did such a fantastic job and the people of Brighton were out in there 1000s giving amazing support.
Some great coastal scenery and then a real electric atmosphere around the centre of Brighton.
A few hills to contend with in the first half but then flat for the second half. Not too crowded with competitors, so good for a PB too. In fact I smashed my PB by 29 minutes, coming in at 3:29

In short: A fast, flat and scenic race.
In full: I really enjoyed this race and would definitely do it again. The route went entirely through scenic countryside and was very flat so it was fast and a really nice environment.
It was quite crowded for the first mile or so but then spread out a bit and I felt there was plenty of room to pass people or let others passed me. The marshals and locals turning out along the route were brilliant. I think every marshal I passed was either clapping or cheering and it always helps me keep up the pace when the vibe around is really positive like that..
There were problems at the start with the slippery mud and queues around the baggage tent but I think the blame should not land entirely on the organisers. It seemed to me that a lot of runners, including myself, left it quite late to hand in their bags as they wanted to leave on their warm clothes and waterproofs as long as possible. This led to a sudden rush with about 15 minutes left before the start. It could have been better organised with separate in and out points and maybe some boards to walk on the grass but the downpour before it was unusually long and heavy so they weren't regular circumstances.
A bit disappointing that there was no goody bag at the finish as it wasn't a cheap race but the medal was very nice.
Well worth doing if you want a pop at your PB in amongst some nice scenery.

In short: Best event I've run in for atmosphere and scenery.
In full: This was a brilliantly organised event, a superb route combining the stunning architecture of London with the greenery of Hyde Park. Great support through the park and a really good set up at the start / finish with the food festival and charity tents, great to bring the family to. Brilliant for spectators as my wife got to see me 4 times without having to walk very far at all.
Not one for PBs as it gets quite tight and clogged up in parts but a PB is not the drawer of this great event.

In short: Flat, fast, low key race in a very scenic location
In full: I really enjoyed this race. I do a lot of fitness work in Bushy Park and love the way it's very flat and very scenic. Only 120 or so runners made it quite a small race. The marshalls at the mid point and finish were very friendly and encouraging but the others around the course could have done with cheering up a bit!
My advice for next time would be to clearly indicate the finish line as I wasn't sure when to stop at the end.
Overall though, a really nice run out.

In short: Wonderful atmosphere and brilliant for beginners
In full: This is such a great event and the support from the North East spectators is fantastic. Not a race for a PB as it's so busy. just one to run around happily high fiving spectators and enjoying the rewards of your training. The buzz of the whole event seems just the thing to get any beginners hooked on running.

In short: Very flat, fast course, perfect for a PB attempt and it was well organised.
In full: The guys at Human Race were very accurate in their description of this course. It was extremely flat and great for a PB attempt. I didn't find doing 4 laps too boring as it kind of cut the race up into bite size chunks which helped with assessing pace and how much energy I had left. I'd recommend this for any runner looking to get a PB but not for beginners as it's better to start in a bigger event to get the buzz from the crowds to spur you on.

In short: A really enjoyable race with a good friendly atmosphere, well organised and friendly stewards around the course. I'd forgotten it was £25 quid though so I'm surprised they don't throw in a tshirt and goody bag.
