In short: excellent race despite the weather In full: Friendly Marshalls, cheering crowd, bit hilly. Most of it runs on tarmac, but there were to sections of soaked country ground/gravel roads. Despite the rain and the slightly undulating course for my biggest surprise I have managed to run a PB. Date of review: September 26, 2012

In short: my hardest but best marathon In full: water stations - excellent (wine, jellybabies, gel, water, isodrink) marshalls - excellent route - hard, but really enjoyable One big climb two times plus a couple of small ones. BBQ, wine, very good atmoshphere With my training I was not completely ready for this challange and done my PW of 5hours, but I still find it the best marathon of the 7 I have done so far this year. In short: very well organised In full: The route was very well marked and marshalled. The route is a bit hilly, the toughest climb is the last 800m just before the finish. I do not know about the length of the course. Was it accurate this year? Date of review: May 13, 2012

In short: I loved it. In full: This was my second marathon after London, and my first trail run ever. It was cold and wet but it is part of it and made it an excellent experience. The rocks hiding in the mud killed my sole and had to watch every single step of mine, but otherwise had a very smooth run. Marshalling and those cakes were brilliant. Thanks for everyone.
