In short: apart from the snow and hills, it was great!
In full: Smooth organisation, great goody bag. A bit thank you to the volunteers who turned out in very cold weather to make this event happen. Lovely hot showers and plentiful toilets at the start. Bit tight on the prizes - just one prize per 10 year age group. Lovely run, this is the 3rd time I've done this event. Prefer it in decent weather. The snow and puddles underfoot on the tow path were not enjoyed!

In short: flat, foul weather, but potential for pb
In full: What else is there to say? Friendly plentiful marshalls, nice venue, flat course, except for up and down for underpasses, all on bike paths round lakes. Well organised, fairly quick results, plenty of loos, Good end of year blast, even though the weather was very wet and miserable.

In short: Surprisingly fast race, despite the twists and turns and hills
In full: Slight problems with picking up the chip and numbers as they were listed in number order not names, and the results seemed to take ages, otherwise a really good race. Plenty parking, loos, nice showers, good route even though it did twist and turn and include a couple of long steep hills. Nice weather helped, down hill start and final 400m sprint on the flat made for a good race. Cotton t-shirt and decent medal at end.

In short: Lovely views between rain drops
In full: Enjoyed all this event, even the mud bath at 1.5 miles, just that rain in the last mile that chilled me too much to even want the free beer or cake!!

In short: Lovely scenery and sunshine
In full: Nice touch having the race director on the finish line to shake hands. Appreciated that and the medal and the kitkat at the finish line. Bit of a muddle at the start of second lap - perhaps a few more marshalls and start the separation from the 10 milers a bit further back.
Lots of loos at the start and finish area, lots of drink stations with water, gels and sweets. Great event,,,, now if only I could run a bit faster.
Very enjoyable race.

In short: The wind, the wind.....
In full: Really well marshalled and loved the limo to take us from car park to Race HQ. Prompt prize giving and the quiet room for changing after the race was great. Great technical t-shirt in a colour that will encourage it to be worn for training nights. Third time I've run this race and the windiest. Challenging hills, cranked up for the second lap. Nearly burst into tears for the last hill at 14 miles.

In short: Hills become seem to become steeper as race progresses
In full: Really enjoyable, friendly race. BBQ at end, car park a longish walk from finish area, but hey! we're fit runners, makes for a good cool down jog, then back to the BBQ and prize giving. Nice beer glass and bottle of real ale to all finishers and everyone waited around for the last finisher which was nice. Certainly a race to do again.

In short: bit windy!
In full: Enjoyable race, but the wind on the airfield was a bit punishing - how did it turn round with the runners to be a head wind all the way??? Nice touch at the end giving bottle of water and banana to all runners as well as a mug. Well done to organisers for getting results up so quickly.

In short: Excellent organisation, brilliant marshalls, but....
In full: Can't fault the organisation, helpfulness of the race director before the event and his staff on the day. Lots of marshalls, water/sport drink/sponge stations, first aiders, supporters around the course. Lovely weather, lovely route, loved the medal and the helpers to remove the chip at the end. But... would the Rotary Club like to make a donation towards the Boat Club for new showers as the cold dribble of a shower rather let down the day at the end. An no t-shirt? I was looking forward to wearing my t-shirt and medal with pride for the rest of the week! Good course, would do it again if I thought my knees could take it. Regrettably, arthritis is setting in and curtailing my fun.

In short: Lovely hills and views
In full: Enjoyable race. Lovely jog along the canal side. Shame about the rain from mile 10 (that second big hill) to the end. Bit chaotic for the t-shirt collection afterwards. Nice bar of chocolate in the goody bag.
