In short: Pink Bunny
In full: I was dressed as a pink bunny and a tutu but most of my paint had washed off! Hope you saw me.

Some harsh comments on here and for the baggage shambles at the end, some of them are probably deserved.

PLUS POINTS
Lots of refreshments, loads of water and gatorade. Plenty of gels , you just had to locate them as there were no signs saying 'gels here'.
Good turn out from spectators despite horrendous weather. Nice medal and wearable t-shirt.

IDEALLY -
Next year, more of a city feel to it please. Running so far away from the City wasn't that inspiring although I appreciate it was the 'Greater' Manchester marathon. The housed streets could have been anywhere. Imagine if it could have taken in the Ethiad stadium, Picadilly etc.. that would be worth it. Obviously a reason why that wasn't chosen but who knows next year.

Well done to all my friends who ran in pink vests for Breast Cancer campaign. Not an easy one for your first boys. Good work.

Definitely not ruling it out for next year. Bewl Water and The Three Forts this weekend. Could do without rain!

In short: Great day
In full: a few minor route issues but we overcame them. Very pleased that there is a new London race so i felt I had to support it. Glad I did. Nice people organising, well stocked stations with food , gels etc. ran with Allison who i helped persuade to continue after 15 for her first marathon. Proud of her. Friendly other runners. A few were disappointed with the route mistakes which is understandable. I didnt care, all added to the experience. Despite second half being less scenic, i would rather keep same route than 2 laps of the first. Hopefully Ian will run this again next year. great first effort thanks.

In short: Flattest marathon in UK.Excellent 2 day event. Very friendly. Perfect PB potential
In full: Previous two ratings say it all really. A real runners race, needed to be strong mentally with the laps but in the end I knew the course by heart so no nasty surprises. V small field , friendly, enjoyed the high-fives. Got a PB by 7 minutes. Fanstastic marshalling. In fact some of the most vocal and supportive marshalling Ive ever come across. They deserved a medal too. Well done Kaja and team for organising. You did well. Great engraved souvenir medal in a case . Would do it again . Hello to all who took part :)

In short: Blazing sunshine and murderous hills . Loved it :)
In full: That was tough. Kept hold of my bottle of water thank God so I had plenty to drink . Hills were tough. Most people walked them so I ended up Overtaking quite a few runners but no chance of a pb. Great friendliness , brilliant course , loads of greenery. Last 1/2 mile was cruel. Crap medal but Would do it again. That's number 16 done. Next one Sourh Downs.

In short: A tale of two halves !
In full: This was my 4th marathon and and quite a contrast from the big city ones I had done but and enjoyable contrast. The marshals were very encouraging , great goody bag , tshirt and medal. Lots of water and gels. Well done Thanet! The only crap bit was me ! My race story. Owch - I went off too fast in the first half and had a 5 minute low point when the half marathoners splintered off for their medals and I was suddenly alone on a promenade with only the horizon ahead of me. Lovely first half through Broadstaris, people having ice creams , beers etc cheering us on. The second half I found tough, quite lonely and windy. It was as much a mental test as physical. The leaders passed me with ages to go which was a bit demoralising but I got on with it. I just had to knuckle down. Great feeling of accomplishment at the end though. This has opened my mind to smaller marathons, rather than just glamour city ones.

In short: some fun obstacles, a bit of water, overall fun but nothing too tricky
In full: cold morning but everyone seemed in good spirits.agreed with the others about a disappointing finish , just a bottle of water for a £44 4-man team. Such an unusual race desevered an unusual momento, a comedy t-shirt even

In short: A great day out. Like a mini -London marathon
In full: Felt good all day after that. Very well organised. Great to run round the sights that i missed on the London marathon. More enjoyable. I started with my friends much further back than the pen i was allocated which although, was great to be with mates at the start, did cost me a lot of time. I was still weaving through and zigzagging at 8 miles. Next time sticking to my own pen, but no real regrets. I liked the unusual medal. At first i thought it was cheap but i suppose the idea of whole race was eco-friendly . The children I teach all thinks its a great medal. Well worth it.

In short: That was hard !!!!!!!
In full: Will echo the words of a runner last year, a mountain goat wouldnt get a pb on this race. Very hard. Hardest half Ive ever done. Hills were very frequent and very long, flats were very muddy. it felt like 18 miles. Did it though so very pleased with myself. Felt like a big achievement at the end. Not for the faint hearted. Looking for ward to a flat race next time. Glad i pushed myself . Need a rest now.

In short: Great mid week run
In full: Well marshalled event . Lovely weather and pleasant course. Some road, some grass, some trails. Nice mix.Liked the hill at 7 k. Glad I've been practising in Croydon! Was expecting it and saw lots struggling. Got a pb of 46 mins so well chuffed . My friends both got pb's so must be something in that. Garmin watch said 6.19 miles but 10 k leatherhead last week measured 5.94 miles . Never understand why. Perhaps I'm not using it correctly which is not unlikely
