In short: Scenic, undulating and well organised
In full: Probably too undulating in today's warm temperatures to be a PB course. But a nice route on tree lined, quiet roads with lots of water stations and encouraging marshals and supporters. Those cheering at the top of the incline at 12M were a godsend for me today! Good job, Kenilworth Road Runners.

In short: Great race! Hard, but a fair test & feels great when you've finished!
In full: Excellent organisation & encouraging marshalls. Memorable hills: short sharp hill before 3M, steep downhill to 5M, nasty hill over the bridge around 7M and a longish drag up to 10M are all etched in my memory. Mainly downhill/flat after this, but for some reason I found the last half mile the hardest. Lovely views on the higher stretches. Overall loved it, but boy did I ache the next day! Not a PB course (or if it is, do another flat one soon after 'cos you'll be quicker!), but great fun and an excellent training run. I'll be back!

In short: Tough - but excellent marathon preparation
In full: Scores highly for convenience with easy parking right by the start, and Race HQ just opposite. Course is three testing laps, each starting with a tough climb, which was into the wind today for extra delight, and had uphill stretches for the first half of every lap. Last three miles of each lap was more civilised - flatish and wind behind. Nice for the supporters, too, to get three chances to take unflattering photos! Not traffic free, but great marshalling, and never felt unsafe. Bizarrely managed a PB today of 2:49, but only my second go at racing this distance, and definitely not a PB course for the well practised. Has got to be excellent marathon training, though. Paris for me in exactly 4 weeks :-)

In short: Pleasant but unremarkable, flatish, traffic free course. Not 100% smooth organisation, but great medal!
In full: Nice to run on traffic free roads, and even the rain and wind was better than the weather I left at home! Think it would be a fast course on a good day, but 3 mins outside PB today in 1:46 and found the wind tough from 8-12M. Thought the start and the finish could have been better laid out - long way to get water & hot drinks at the end. But I did get my medal and its fab! Would do it again if it were more local to me, but its a two hour drive, so not sure.

In short: Guaranteed PB, but go to the loo at home !
In full: Its not exciting, its not scenic, but its reasonably local for me and I've had a PB by several minutes every time I've run this race, and this year was no exception! Was really thrilled to get under 1:45 for the first time! The overall organisation is immaculate with chip times texted out a few minutes after you finish & there is lots of crowd support on the way round. But the toilet facilities so let this race down! Please get 3-4 times as many loos for next year!

In short: Lovely day, lovely race!
In full: Well organised (including the key feature of minimal queuing for loos !) Lovely course, through scenic lanes with some undulations, followed by tea, cakes and massage at the end. Definitely PB potential for some, but not for me as took it steady - but still respectable. May well be back next year and have recommended it to my club mates.
