In short: Fantastic as usual - mud, ice cold puddles, hills and glorious views
In full: This was my fourth attempt at the Leith Hill half, and it was muddier than ever! Very challenging course, icy temperatures (especially at the top), freezing knee-deep puddles, brilliant atmosphere with supportive runners and marshals. A perfect event if you enjoy a tough race that is perfectly organised and welcoming to all. A big thanks to Dr Rob and to the marshals who braved the weather to make the race so good.

In short: Muddy marvelous
In full: My fourth go at the KC and first in fancy dress. Excellent organisation as always, a hilly, slippery, muddy course and nice t-shirt and goodies (including soup) at the end.
Thank you Dr Rob and the marshals, thoroughly enjoyable

In short: Excellent challenging trail race, lovely countryside, fantastic organisation
In full: A nicely challenging trail run in the Surrey countryside with some stunning views. Mixed terrain (the sand was tough) and some nice hills, but the whole course is runnable. The organisation and marshals were first class, and the event and atmosphere overall is very friendly. Highly recommended. Thanks to the organisers and volunteers.

In short: Wonderful run, scenic, crazily tough, brilliantly organised
In full: Having run the Munro half on the same course several times, I should have known what to expect. But even that doesn't prepare you for the pain and fatigue that makes this run so challenging and enjoyable.
The course is extremely tough, well marked (I managed to add 1.5 miles to my run by missing an obvious turning after 18 miles - I can only blame tiredness!) and has beautiful views (if you can focus on anything other than pain), organisation excellent, marshals outstanding and very encouraging, and a great atmosphere which was augmented by the arrival of the half-marathon runners part-way through the race. A real sense of achievement in completing the course, having decided this would be my last marathon I am giving serious thought to entering again for next year's "special"!
Thanks to Dr Rob and the amazing marshals.

In short: Tough but very friendly race in beautiful surroundings
In full: My third time running this race, it was as expertly organised as ever. A challenging out & back route with stunning views at half-way. All runners are very encouraging, even the winner was urging us on as he passed us on the way back from the turning point, which I thought was a great effort!. Friendly marshalls, nice t-shirt and breakfast at the end. Thanks to Dr Rob and the marshals.

In short: Brilliantly organised, nice course, very friendly and great atmosphere
In full: Thank you to TWH for organising one of the most enjoyable races I've done. The organisation was flawless, lots of marshals, traffic control, lots of people on-hand at the water stations etc. The course is undulating and the mile-long hill mid-way is tough - but the number of people out supporting along the route is amazing and helps take your mind off the pain! Receiving my medal from Kelly Holmes was also a bonus :-)
This is a brilliant event. Thank you to the organisers supporters and marshals.

In short: Even tougher than last year! Fantastic race; thanks Dr Rob and the marshals
In full: Really tough race with a "bonus hill" improvement on last year's course. Great atmosphere with some terrific fancy dress, very well organised, friendly marshals on a well-marked course, and the usual high-standard goodies at the end - soup, rolls, mug and good quality winter top. My second year at this event, it's the best way to start the new year!

In short: Enjoyable race with great views, a couple of tough hills and a joyous last couple of miles
In full: Beautiful course with some stunning views. Nasty hill from the start but it is a joy to finish the race speeding down the same hill! Pretty well organised overall, especially for the inaugral race, and the marshals throughout the course were friendly and encouraging. Nice t shirt at the end although the goody bag wasn't up to much. Overall a really enjoyable race - thanks to the organisers, marshals and Denbies.

In short: Outstanding - Nice mix of ups & downs, stunning scenery, wonderfully organised
In full: My second year running this race. Challenging course, some tough uphills (and jarring downhills), nice route with amazing views at the half way point, thoroughly well organised as usual, jelly babies at the water stations, nice momento and personalised t-shirt, delicious fry up to finish. Great event, thanks to Dr Rob and the marshals
