In short: Mudfest
In full: 3rd time and although by far the wettest it was also the best yet. The atmosphere and organization has really come on in leaps and bounds in the last few years and this is one of the best off road marathons out there. Great bunch of people. Tough as nails. Some great scenery. What more could you ask for? The kind of race to lure you away from running on the pavement. Thanks to all the marshals who give up their time to stand out in the elements and make these events possible. Well done to the organizers.

In short: Hardest and the best!
In full: Most certainly the toughest 26 mile race I have run. Excellent organization. Dr Rob has done it again. I agree with all the comments below and if you fancy a bash at a really tough mara then make sure you sign up for this in 2013. The spirit and camaraderie of the runners, marshals and spectators surpasses all others and really needs to be seen to be believed. 5 stars, 10 out of 10 and a massive thumbs up!

In short: Tough, scenic and friendly!
In full: A great race worth doing again! Some tough sections but with some great views and good organization, I would certainly recommend this. Good for experienced trail runners and newbies alike.

In short: Tough as nails!
In full: Absolutely loved the race. Although I finished near the back - that's where I normally finish and the support for us stragglers at the back-end of the field was amazing. Great challenge! Certainly would consider scrapping all other plans and making next year's Picnic the main goal. All Trionium races are so well organised and hats off have to go to Dr Rob!

In short: Tough, friendly, scenic and did I say tough....?
In full: 3rd time in succession, this marathon is certainly one of my favourites and got me hooked on the off road stuff in the first place. Very well organised and so many friendly faces to help you get through lots of challenging lumpy bits. Expect this to be even more popular next year!

In short: A must-do-half!
In full: Excellent organisation & atmosphere and a really picturesque, challenging course. A must do annual event for those with summer marathon plans. Pity it fell on the same day as Steyning. It would be great if that could possibly be avoided next year.
