In short: first Ultra= EXCELLENT
In full: This was my first Ultra and I am already online looking for another! The scenery and areas which this race encompassed were amazing, stunning infact. The drinks stations were well stocked and all marshalls friendly. However, if you like your courses lined with supporters shouting you on, this race isn't for you.

I will be doing this again next year! Well done to al concerned :-)

In short: Hardest marathon I have done
In full: This was the hardest marathon I've done to date. A personal worst- I did a marathon 2.15 quicker in April!

Only gripe- no mile markers! Oh and climbing a gate at mile 19 wasnt great!

In short: Excellent undulating marathon. Shame about the weather!
In full: Excellent course, great marshalls and always stopping the traffic. The spectators were excellent- very enthusiastic! Hills hard on the legs. More toilets at the beginning please! Love the sticker, pen and medal. Mars bar much appreciated! Seemed miles back to the car after, no toilets near the end (maybe pop portaloos there next year) and the first sponge station was strange- I didn't realise what it as until I had passed it! No a PB for me, but only 5 mins slower than Taunton which I did 3 weeks ago :-O Will do it next year! Thank you all!

In short: Did it last year, did it this year, will do it next year. Flat, fast and well organised!
In full: Brilliantly organised half marathon; mile markers, marshalls, drinks stations, toilets, baggage hold, bag pipes, drummers and morris dancers, jelly babies and cake at the end! Nice tea shirt and banana for all finishers. The use of timing chip is excellent. The course is beautiful! Only one slight issue not enough to really concern me much but to get this to be a 10/10 race maybe the start could have markers so runners can get into their predicted finish time to halt the weaving in and out at the start. Oooh and the small t-shirt must be a mans size because it's huge on me... maybe next year we could have some extra small ones too? :-) Great job, well done all!!

In short: Hundinger Hill should be renamed Humdinger Hell. Excellent though!!
In full: Brilliant race. Good views, good marshalling, mile markers, 2 drink stops, excellent spectators and a nice soft tshirt as a prize! Oooh and a ticket giving free entry to Hestercombe Gardens to redeem in the future :-)

Yes it was hard and my lungs nearly exploded on the second hill (mile 8) but it was worth every minute.

Will definitely be back for more next year.

Ps. Although I have put PB potential as low, I doubt many people have a race PB for a 9.5miler because of the rare distance. I've never run a 9.5 miles so it is (by default unfortuately) a PB (to be improved next year)!

In short: Pleasant
In full: I'm afraid that I think this event was over priced. I was expecting a superb race for the money spent as it happens the event needs: more toilets, km markers not miles, more helpers taking timing chips off and a bag for the goodies. Brilliant goodies but handing them out to runners after we have just run 10km without a plastic bag in which to carry them is a bit strange! Also, with other timing chip races I have done the results have been texted to me immediately- could this not have been done today? I got a PB so can't complain about the actual run, but the event could have been better.

In short: View from the top (mile 8-9 ish) were stunning!
In full: A lovely race with hills, mud and hard work. Everyone was very friendly. Well signed, well marshalled. The drinks stations, Keiran's jelly babies and the people who held out orange pieces were excellent... I was really very happy to have a jelly baby :-) Two big hills but that didn't deter a PB, so extra special for me! Shame about the t-shirts but these things happen. Oooh and who could forget the cake at the end... I'll be back next year! Thanks

In short: Beautiful (and a PB on boxing day :))
In full: Excellently marshalled, markered and signed. Drinks stop. The lap thing worked well as the crowd kept me going- good for specators too! Felt like the whole village had come to watch- very supportive. Thought it may be a PB but broke my PB by 3 minutes- alot more than I expected. I am not a fantastic runner (barely a runner, certainly not a runner in some peoples minds!) but a PB is a PB whoever you are! I'd recommend this race to everyone!!

In short: Lovely undulating race with a nice momento and a good feeling!
In full: Lovely race with a nice momento and a good feeling. If I was being really picky though the start was a bit tricky due to narrow lanes and having to negotiate past people (and people past me!). As per normal Teignbridge Trotter standards the course was well marshalled, well sign posted, drinks stops were well laid out and everyone was very helpful. However, I did witness, on more than one occasion, people pushing by others in the funnell area but that doesn't really matter unless you are top ten! Although the race is undulating (actually flatter than I thought it could be) I think it probably is beginner friendly due to the single sex theme! See you next year!
