In short: Very tough, very marvelous
In full: Can only endorse every positive comment others have made. The weather clearly helped and I would hate to attempt this if foggy /wet / cold or all three. A pleasant surprise was the level of support, even at the most remote of spots but especially in the villages - not huge numbers but a quick 'well done' from random strangers certainly helps to keep you going.

In short: Simply a wonderful event that I'm proud to have taken part in. It isn't really a race and I now know that PBs are for elsewhere.
In full: My first London Marathon and it didn't disappoint. Great crowds, kind weather and faultless organisation all made for a brilliant experience - yes the T shirt was a bit ordinary (a call to the GNR designers might be in order) but the essentials all worked without fail. Like many posting comments I am very time-obsessed and spent the first few miles inwardly complaining that the field was too big for the course, too many slow runners/walkers too far up the field etc. But then I realised that this is an event not a race at all and soaking it all up brings its own rewards. I finished in just under 3:45, know I could have done 3:30 or so given a clear run, but because I crossed the line feel fine, not exhausted, I now have the marathon bug and am looking to find another. London Marathon - what's not to like?

In short: Absolutely splendid. Relaxed and very well-organised event with perfect weather
In full: Seemingly like most other participants this was part of my prep for the London marathon and as such it was perfect. One could treat it as a lovely Sunday morning run that just happened to have a few hundred other people along for the ride - so I could relax into a comfortable pace and, every now and again get a little bit motivated and try to catch or keep pace with somebody a bit faster. Organisation was spot on and the no frills nature added to its charm. For £10 any kind of medal is a bonus and the oft praised "Jelly Baby Two" were worth the entry fee on their own.

In short: A trifle inclement, well done everyone who ran. marshaled or supported
In full: For me this was a training run on the way to the London Marathon and I feel I achieved something by taking part and finishing today. . This was all about the weather and the course change - neither of which were in the organiser's control. Yes improvements can (and should) be made but presumably the 'cheap' medal and lack of extras means more goes to charity. After all wasn't this what the run was about?

In short: Ideal for those wanting a PB and a lovely river views
In full: Nothing to criticise at all and while the first half is a little dull this is forgotten about after the final 5K along the river, the splendid medal and, in my case a PB. Next year will get there early so as to park a bit closer to the race HQ

In short: Glad I started, even happier to finish
In full: Conrats to all concerned, those who took part but more so those who gave their time to orgnanise / marshall. Conditions underfoot rather worse than appalling but if you could look around for a few secs the surroundings were wonderful. Can't be any worse next year. Can it?
