In short: Superb organization and marshalls make for a great race In full: My first time at the New Forest Half and I will definitely be back. A good competitive field and universally excellent marshals - the only pity was the weather! A few undulations meant it probably wasn't PB territory (I certainly fell a few minutes short), but it represented a good challenge for club runners and first timers. In short: Brutal hills but superb organization and scenery - a proper rewarding challenge. In full: I must congratulate the marshalls who provided magnificent encouragement the whole way round this punishing course. When the walkers are outpacing the runners up the hills, you know they are seriously steep, but the cameraderie kept everybody going and the downhill finish was exhilirating. The best HM in the local calendar! Date of review: November 8, 2010

In short: The best 10K in the local calendar In full: Fantastic, memorable race with the best support I have ever seen. Superb course with a stunning run through the historic market town of Thame and the surrounding countryside. Welcome massage and tremendous goody bag for all finishers. Congratulations to all of the organizers and marshalls and see you next year! Date of review: June 28, 2010

In short: Better than ever - perfect organization and perfect weather In full: My third year and a PB made it even more special. The new start was a huge improvement and the marshalling throughout was exceptional. It's true that a few sharp turns can knock seconds off your time, but the course is completely flat and fast. Central Oxford is usually clogged with buses, so it is a delight to see it without traffic. Fantastic finish in the parks and tremendous encouragement from the large crowd - roll on 2011! In short: Flat course - fantastic PB potential (as long as the wind doesn't blow) In full: A rather desolate disused airfield that might be used for an edgy rock video is the setting for this well organized race. Mostly club runners looking for a fast time, not surprising as the course is almost completely flat. I took 90 seconds off my own PB. Date of review: September 14, 2009
