In short: Tough but enjoyable.... In full: very well organised and great support from the marshalls. the hills were tough, but the weather was good and not very windy either. the roads were not closed, but the traffic was generally OK. oh and the hills were tough, did i mention that?
Nice finish on the village green and i called in at the community centre for a coffee and well earned slice of lemon cake! Date of review: February 14, 2010
In short: Definately a race of two halves In full: a slog up stonegate road and the ring road at meanwood, but after the half way point its pretty much downhill and a flat run back into the city. the organisation was improved from last year and the drink stations significantly better. the small bottles of water were ideal - cups usually mean wet feet! the race was well supported, especially on Kirkstall Road. A big thanks to the support from the Marshalls and those helping at the drink stations. As its my local event i will be back next year! Date of review: May 11, 2009
In short: Fast and flat - Good PB potential In full: A well organised race. Chip timing and a text of your time within mins of finishing (if you register online). A short climb after 600m but otherwise relatively flat. The route along Canal Road, isnt the most attractive, but the start and finish area by the City Hall is much better. Queue for the toilets 20 mins before the start but it has disappeared as the race was ready to start. A nice sunny day, if a little cold - minus 2 accoridng to the car! Date of review: March 29, 2009
