In short: A proper toughie :)
In full: I've done a few Lakeland Trail Races and with this one being the first marathon distance, it really was a gimmie. I was not to be disappointed. Brilliant atmosphere, fantastic marshalling and water stations and scenery i fail to find words for! How do you top this? Not sure you can :)

In short: Brilliant Ultra, excellent location, will return next year.
In full: Lots of nice touches and well thought out by the race organisers. A beautiful undulating course made up of 10 mile laps which suited my needs perfectly. Finishing straight was just awesome. The only minus point for me is it's not spectator friendly. Perhaps this can be sorted for next time? Great medal and t-shirt, with really friendly officials. See you next year.

In short: Excellent
In full: This is my first full marathon. I will definitely be back for 2010. Wonderful atmosphere, great marshalls and local support very vocal. Couple of stinking hills to climb but hey - it is the Lakes. This is a special race.

In short: Nice route, organisation was good but one killer hill might be too much for new runners.

In short: All the hills are at the beginning of the race which knocked the stuffing out of me. Still managed a PB.
