In short: Windy
In full: Windy, but I knew it would be, didn't like the main road section with the traffic at about 11 miles, tougher 1/2M than I've done in the past but I will be back nexst year.

In full: I now know what "undulating" means in a course description. We will be back next year. Don't forget to save something for the last 400m.

In short: 5 miles the dark
In full: Most enjoyable, 99% in fancy dress, 1m up, 1m down, 1m up, 0.8m flat, 0.2 up and then 1m down! Loved it, can't wait to do it again next year.

In short: Great race for a 1st time marathon
In full: Great marshalls, I'd say the course is flat, lovely toilets in the village hall at 14.5 miles. Does go over a level crossing, not sure how they handle your time if you happen to get a train passing, I'd just missed one. All in all, a great day out.

In short: Nice Medal
In full: Fairly flat course, not completely flat. Agree with others about the lack of support through the boots plant. The last loop did me in, didn't like passing the finish area to then go and do another 2 miles, I need more mental preparation!

In short: Loved it
In full: Muddy but we knew that was going to be the case. Thanks to the chap in front of me for wearing the bright yellow t-shirt, this made the tunnel that much easier. 1st time here, will be back next year.

In short: Super
In full: Interesting course with some stiles and kissing gates. Quite tight in places but I suppose if you are fast and at the front that won't bother you. Will be back.

In short: Great venue and course
In full: Very tight for the first few miles, which turned out to be a positive as it stops you going out too fast. Plenty of drink stations, good mix of runners, somehow managed a p.b. so I'll be back!
