In short: Very hot, very hilly, magnificent scenary
In full: Brilliant race although cost is quite dear at £50 for what you get. For this would liked more than just plain water and jelly babies at water stops which were too far apart for a race in this heat even carrying your own drinks. Could have provided at least a coffee at the end! Organisation good but drink stations not always aware how far to the next one. However the stupendous scenary takes your breathe away as do the hills and, on this occasion, the heat. It's a hard race make no mistake but makes you smile when you have, rather painfully, finished. Came from Kent on Fiday, overnighted in Taunton and late back on saturday night after race. Knackered but great fun. Wouldn't have missed it.

In short: Great race, mud everywhere but poor value for money
In full: Mud everywhere made this a bit of a challenge. Lovely when sun came out. Can't fault the race but the cost is a rip off. Shot glass (not medal) cotton t-shirt, only babana's and a few biscuits and water (not juice) on way around and NO post race meal at end. Shocking value really. The organisers should check out the LDWA for what real value is.

In short: OK run, worth doing but could be better organised
In full: Nice, friendly run with multiple distance options. Too much road for a trail marathon. A few easyish hills. Countryside scenary and castle lovely. Too long (1hr plus) between 2 drinks stations. Very few distance markers

In short: Very scenic, 1st half hilly, 2nd flat, very warm on the day
In full: Stunning views of the chanel, hills a challenge in the heat, parts of the flat 2nd half tough on feet. Snacks provided at only one checkpoint but water always and sponges on some others. Queues at stiles in first mile or so slows progress. Well worth the trip to the IoW for.
