In short: Challenging course, very well organized
In full: This was the third time I've run and will definitely be back. As challenging as the course is I managed a PB so well chuffed with that. I can't really comment on the water stations as I don't use them in halves.

The organisation was great and the communications around the weather kept me abreast of the situation.

Was gutted to see such a long queue for the toilets but was amazed at how quickly it went down with the helpers directing people to vacant toilets. Unless it was just me, I didn't notice any hand cleaning products in the toilets. Luckily I (well my mum!) came prepared!

In short: Great challenging, well organised course
In full: I missed the first Tonbridge Half last year as I was away so had to make sure I was around for it this year! I'd heard about the hills but in all honesty a completely flat course can be a little boring. Thought the organisation was excellent and support, although a little spaced out, well received and a good motivator.

Although I found mile markers 1-12 pretty much bang on with my Garmin, the halfway point was way too early (about 0.2-0.25 miles) and after crossing through 12 miles I then clocked a further 1.2 miles to the finish!

Was great to see Kelly still handing out medals despite the rain.

Will definitely be signing up next year

In short: Challenging course, well organised and fantastic support!
In full: Love this half marathon and I've actually done it the last 6/7 years. It's a tough course so the support definitely helps you round. It's always been well organised and this year was no exception. Forgot about the slight course adjustment until I got to it but it was a welcome change; much less demoralising than having to turn away from the finish as you get to the seafront! Great work Eric and thanks for the personal email to sort out my running number postal issues! Will definitely be entering again next year!

In short: Challenging course but excellent support and organisation to aid getting round
In full: This race is a tough one but the scenery, organisation and support all round makes for a great run. I'll definitely be doing it next year. I agree with some of the other comments about the goody bags. I think the problem was with people wanting drink at the finish line. I also have to admit that I didn't help the situation: one finisher looked close to collapsing and he drank his water, I gave him what was left of my water, and I had no option other than to grab another from another goody bag (and not the first one I tried either so assumed others were doing the same).

In short: Great organisation as usual - just pleased I didn't have to drive there!
In full: This is my club's half marathon. It is always well organised and a fairly flat race. My family help organise the first sponge station which was a great boost just over half-way round the course. Apparently my Dad is building another stock for next years race!

In short: Great to be part of history!
In full: Excellent, well organized race. Plenty of marshalling and water stations along the way. Had I not struggled so much (really ache now!) it would be one of my all-time favourites. I hope it's not another 100 years before Hastings has another marathon!

In short: No Toughguy but certainly tough!
In full: This is the first year I've entered the race so didn't really know what to expect. I did Toughguy earlier in the year and one thing that annoyed me was bottle necks in various parts of the course. It seemed that this was the case here if you were further back in the field, but as I managed to stay near the front this wasn't a problem for me. Parking could have been more organized but at the same time I'm sure it could have been a lot worse given the number of vehicles and the location. The goodie bags were pretty good, but again only if you managed to get one. I did find the course hard, particularly as I did it with no wacth or gps so had no idea how far I was running or how fast Iwas going. I'd certainly be back again next year!

In short: Up and down all the way but good enough course
In full: Not as hilly as some have made out. Yes it is up and down pretty much all the way however no uphill section was too challenging. Certainly not as bad as Hastings half! Not a particular fan of cups on the water stations but that's common with most club races.
