In short: Hilly, hot and beautiful race
In full: A good race in lovely setting. Route was interesting mix of path, trail and field. Very much an up and down with little flat but the downhills made some of the harder uphill treks worth it!
Confusion over prizes at the end was a little difficult for some, but generally organisation was superb and excellent marshalling. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Mud, slurry, sweat and smiles
In full: This is definitely one of my top races. It's wonderfully mud, tough as hell, and no overly commercial elements. I loved the fact it was simply cross country with a few extra acres of mud and water! And the opportunity to do a commando roll over a straw bale was just an added bonus.
The 2 minute silence at the beginning was also a unifying experience. Please keep this race as it is and do not change. I will be back next year.

In short: Beautiful scenery, excellent marshalling, horrendous hills - a fantastic race!
In full: Warmer weather made the course less muddy and much ruttier than expected - great to help increase the speed! Lovely area and a really friendly race, great for non or club runners alike. The hills were horrible, but some wonderful downhill moments made it worthwhile. I'll definitely be back next year.

In short: Fantastic scenery and excellent organisation make for a brilliant race
In full: Really good race with wonderful views. The hills at miles 6-7 were hard but not terrible, and plenty of downhill and flat stretches meant PBs were in sight! Hard head wind in places but the general atmosphere and excellent marshalling kept spirits high. Thanks for a great race, good tshirt and a PB!

In short: Great race and course, however seriously let down by lack of organisation at the start
In full: I loved the race and the route, and the atmosphere was fantastic. However i was one of the lucky ones who found a place to dump their bag (just) and go to the toilet before it began.
The start was shambolic and it took ages to cross the line - noone seemed to be aware that anything had started! The lack of signs let everything down.
I would recommend the race to anyone, but i really hope to see improvements next year.

In short: Brilliant mud-splattered joy of bog stinking mire. And lots of hills. Fantastic and would do again in a second once muscles had recovered!

In short: Nice to have a good local race. Only major criticism was the terrible start. No real coordination, and several runners fell.. Made for some nifty footwork. Apart from that, good atmosphere and great sunshine

In short: Generally excellent. Really good marshalling made this a top-form event. The hills were more dominant than expected but the downhill during the last 2 1/2 k made up for any panting earlier on. Just glad the cheetah didn't escape.
