In short: Lovely course, not enough loos In full: My first time of doing this one. I couldn't get to PW any earlier than I did, the queues for the loos were terrible. The gun went off when I was still queueing for the loo, there's a 7 minute difference between my gun and chip times! Fortunately I was using this race as part of my training for a marathon in May so wasn't overly worried about the fact that I was one of the last to cross the start line. The course itself was very scenic and the marshals and spectators were fantastic. I'll definitely do this one again and try to get there a bit earlier so as to avoid getting stuck in the loo queue. In short: Fantastic race and wonderful organisation In full: This was my first marathon so I approached it with some trepidation. However, I needn't have worried as the organisation was excellent. Right from the very start in signing up , the e-mail updates as the race approached, the parking on the day,the excellent marshals and the guy running the race in reverse geeing us up. I didn't take advantage of the personal tables but will do so next year, having the opportunity to have your won table is just another finishing touch.
A very well done to Ian and all at TZ Runs Date of review: June 2, 2013
In short: Muddy and Hilly In full: My first attempt at anything of this type of distance. The organisation was excellent, the marshals were very friendly and very encouraging, especially for a slowcoach like me. There were more than enough water stations. I'll be back for another crack once I've sorted out my hill training! Date of review: June 24, 2012
In short: Lovely Scenery In full: My first race since 2003! I entered online, got my number in good time, collected my chip no problem and was at the start in good time. The scenery was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed the race even though I found the grassy/muddy bits hard going. I'm definitely coming back next year. Date of review: March 11, 2012
