In short: Stunning scenery, great organisation, mud. hills and snow
In full: Beautiful race but really tough. Huge hills. knee deep mud, snow, big puddles and freezing cold.
Great organisation though and a glass of fizz at the end. I would definitely do this again but not for the faint hearted.

In short: Tha marshalls made it brilliant as did the friendly mix of runners
In full: After previous reviews from 2 years ago I was worried about what the organisation would be like - I shouldn't have done. It was one of the best organised races I've been to. Tons of marshalls - incredibly friendly, entertaining (love the wigs and dance moves) and encouraging. The community support offices were also great.
Really good value goody bag with t shirt and medal and the cream egg was a nice touch.
Thanks so much for a thoroughly emjoyable race starting and finishing in a stunning location with plenty of urban grit in between.
Will definitely do again...

In short: Lovely scenery, challenging course, good organisation
In full: Great new race, good course with mix of fast canal side paths, and off road trails with one killer climb in the middle.
Having said it's no good for PBs I only narrowly missed mine thanks to the very fast canal paths so quicker than it seemed at the time. Will definitely try and do next year.

In short: great marshalls, nice scenery, fast run if you're a fast runner (which I'm not). Really enjoyed it and would run again.

In short: Excellent organisation, lovely countryside. Good support from marshalls. Only slight gripe was I could have done with more water stations as it was very sunny!
