In short: Great local off-road 10k with a few good hills
In full: I was roped into this at the last minute but on the day entry was swift and easy. Parked right outside, no queue for the loo and a warm place to wait for the start. Very low key with les sthan 150 runners but very friendly and a fantastic route with a wondersul long downhill section in the last 2m. Not sure how we get to see the results as can't seem to find them anywhere...

In short: Fantastic ending - last mile all downhill and beautiful scenery
In full: My first half marathon. Enjoyed the last part but hills not as bad as expected - just very long. Cars were a bit off-putting in places and would have liked a goody bag with energy drink or bar at the end. Well organised and waiting patiently for the results to be published.

In short: Nice and flat. Very encouraging Marshalls. Cold Showers were the worst bit.
In full: This was my longest race to date as only been running 6 months. The course was good and easy to follow just very long for me! Electronic timing was good and there was an amazing selection of cakes at the end. Once I'd finished I got quite cold walking back to the sports hall and the freezing cold showers really didn't help. Would do it again - hopefully a bit faster next year.

In short: Friendly, not too many people, good facilities, enthusiastic marshalls. Good for novices like me!
