In short: One of the best race-day atmospheres around. Thanks to the organisers and local residentss!
In full: This was my first HM event, so entered with a bit of trepidation. The atmosphere was one of the best I have seen, even in the remote villages along the route. Thanks to the residents of Fitzroy Street for some very welcome water in the last mile!

In short: A fantastic race with some great downhill bits... what hills?
In full: I'd been off serious running for a while, but as this was a very loecal race for me, decided to give it a try. At the back of the pack, there was a good atmosphere and a nice welcome at the finish. Yes, it is tough, but very rewarding ! A definate for next year.

In short: Excellent organisation and atmosphere
In full: Space on the course is always an issue, but starting at the back of the orange wave seemed okay. At least I got to overtake a few people with a PB of 52 mins...and the rain held off for me at least.

In short: Great day for a race; killer hill at the start
In full: It was good fun to start on the track before heading out onto the course. The hill was a challenge, but worth it for the views and the rest of the course was pretty fast. Good crowds and organisation. Thanks!

In short: A challenging climb to the finish but there were lots of marshalls to give lots of encouragement
In full: As a relative novice runner, this was a great race! The course is a little tough, having a climb to the finish from mile 3, but the marshalls were fantastic! Frequent mile markers helped with pace along the route. The cool clear weather and some nice scenery made for a perfect race - and my PB! (near the back)
